The Story of Thrive Resources

Thrive Resources is a dream that has been at the heart of Mark and Melanie Hall since the earliest days of their ministry together.

Long before Mark Hall formed the Grammy Award-winning band, Casting Crowns, he had a vision to take what he was learning as a youth pastor and share it with other youth pastors throughout the area. In fact, Casting Crowns was originally formed as a ministry to youth ministries.

“The original purpose of Casting Crowns was to provide a model for how to do youth ministry” says Mark. “In the early days, we would go to a church and not only do a concert but also provide breakout sessions for the youth leaders and share some of the things we had learned through doing youth ministry.”

“Some churches have the luxury of a well-trained, full-time youth pastor,” Adds Melanie, “But most churches do not. Many of the youth leaders across the country are just regular parents with a heart for teens that have been asked by a pastor to serve. They have the passion, they have the heart, but, they have no clue what to do. Those are the people we have always wanted to help.”

Casting Crowns continues to be an inspiration to youth leaders across the country with the band holding special meet and greet sessions for youth leaders at every concert they perform. But, Mark and Mel wanted to do something more than inspire – they wanted to provide a much deeper level of training and support.

Thrive Resources was formed by Mark and Mel in late 2015 for the purpose of providing that support through videos, seminars, blogs, curriculum and other support materials, all provided free-of-charge to volunteer and part-time youth leaders around the world.

Thrive Resources

they will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

DIGGING DEEP INTO OUR NEW LIFE MEANS KNOWING GOD MORE AND MORE THROUGH HIS WORD, WORSHIP, PRAYER, AND HIS CHURCH

1. Dive into God’s word!
– Decide now to start spending time daily in the Bible — start with the book of John.

2. Join a Faith Family!
– Dive into fellowship with other believers beyond “attending big church.”
– Join a small group and seek out an older believer as a “go to” person when you have questions.

3. Know God more through worship and prayer!
– God is not a book, He is a person. Worship and prayer connect us with a God who wants to know us and wants us to know Him.

REACHING OUT TO THE WORLD IS THE NATURAL OVERFLOW OF KNOWING GOD MORE AND MORE EVERYDAY!

1. Serve — Begin to use your time, talents, and treasure to point people to their own relationship with Jesus!

2. Share Your Story — As you dig into the word, you will see that God has rescued you and wants to rescue others!

– Start sharing your story. Then share the Gospel with others so they, too, can THRIVE!
